Faber-Castell moves people to release their creative skills. In March 2000, Faber-Castell and the IG-Metall signed the Faber-Castell Social Charter. With it, Faber-Castell voluntarily undertakes to ensure the employment and working conditions recommended by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in all companies of the group. Faber-Castell has always proven a high social commitment: Since the middle of the 19th century, social institutions were created for employees and relatives, including one of the first company health insurance companies and one of the first kindergartens in Germany.
