What moves us

Faber-Castell moves people to release their creative skills. Family-owned for nine generations, Faber-Castell is a global player in the production and marketing of high-quality writing and drawing instruments. Founded in 1761, the company is one of the oldest in the world, represented in over 120 countries, with its own production facilities in ten and sales companies in 22 countries. Our Social Responsibility

In March 2000, Faber-Castell and the IG-Metall signed the Faber-Castell Social Charter. With it, Faber-Castell voluntarily undertakes to ensure the employment and working conditions recommended by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in all companies of the group. Faber-Castell has always proven a high social commitment: Since the middle of the 19th century, social institutions were created for employees and relatives, including one of the first company health insurance companies and one of the first kindergartens in Germany.
