Souverän is the classic from Pelikan. The black and green striped coat stands worldwide as a symbol of the Pelikan brand. The production of the Souverän coat is subject to an elaborate process, because according to a specially developed formula for Pelikan a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent and then ground with a diamond on contour. The gold-plated rings on the top and bottom are fitted with the highest precision before the writing advice is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design. The Souverän D400 mechanical pencil is equipped with a hi-polymer lead with a thickness of 0.7 mm.
