Significant personality – Gustav Stresemann In addition to his outstanding political career, among other things, as Foreign Minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1878-1929) was also known for the design of a suit. On the one hand, this was ideal for public performances and on the other hand could be worn casually in the office. At the same time, the striped fountain pens from Pelikan began their global triumph: all of a sudden people called them „Stresemann“. This also made the writing instruments personalities. Even today, both suit and fountain pen bear the name Stresemanns. To honor the legend, Pelikan officially baptized the Sovereign with stylish stripes in anthracite on the name Stresemann. Souverän 605 Stresemann The production of the Souverän coat is subject to an elaborate process, because according to a specially developed formula for Pelikan, a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent and then cut to contour with a diamond. The palladium rings on the filling handle and cap are fitted with the highest precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design. The Souverän M605 piston fountain pen has a 14-carat completely rhodium-plated gold nib and is available in nib widths EF, F, M and B. The B-nib provides a wide typeface and is particularly suitable for handwriting with large swings.
Design: the piston fountain pen in the colour black-anthracite is characterised by the individual striped material made of cellulose acetate and the palladium-refined decorative elements
Gentle writing experience: the 14-carat completely rhodium-plated gold nib in the nib width B (wide) allows a soft writing experience and is particularly suitable for handwriting with large swings; the B nib ensures a wide typeface
World-famous classic: the striped material of the writing instrument is made from cotton based on a specially developed formula for Pelikan and gives the Souverän M605 Stresemann fountain pen a unique look
Filled in the palm of your hand: the differential piston mechanism in the fountain pen allows for quick and easy drawing of the ink; by turning the piston mechanism, a negative pressure is generated, so that the ink reaches the ink reservoir cleanly via the nib and the ink conductor without escaping
Quality: made in Germany; thanks to many years of experience and unique craftsmanship, Pelikan meets the highest quality standards at all times; the high-quality writing instruments from Pelikan combine expertise, passion and elegance and give a lifetime of pleasure in writing
